is proud to issue the second volume in a series of live performances by the musician who,
as TIME magazine raved, "produces the most glorious tone that ever came
out of a flute." This live recital was recorded on October 9, 1983, and was
dedicated to compositions by virtuoso keyboard players. Consequently, the works on
the program contain piano parts that are not merely an accompaniment to a dominating flute
voice. In its technical demands and its development of thematic matter, the piano is
treated as a full partner.
